The DCMA 14-point assessment is widely recognized as a effective way to evaluate schedule quality against proven schedule metrics.  This methodology is used by numerous commercial and government organizations as a way to identify schedule deficiencies and to focus attention in the problem areas.  However, performing the assessment can be challenging and time-consuming for many users.

Other Key Features

Configurable Thresholds

The thresholds for Red/Yellow/Green indicators can be specified for the DCMA 14-point metrics as well as the additional metrics and health checks.  The user can hover over the visual indicators to view the current threshold settings.

Excel Export

A flexible export to Excel is available, with both summary reports and detail worksheets showing the tasks that fail to meet the tests for each metric.

IPMR Format 6 Export in UN/CEFACT XML Format

If you have a formal requirement for the Integrated Program Management Report (IMPR) Format 6 – Integrated Master Schedule, the DCMA Schedule Analyzer forProject includes a configurable XML export tool.  This allows you to meet your contractual requirement to deliver your schedule according to the latest UN/CEFACT XML schema and PARCA requirements.

Support for Special Task Types

The Analyzer can be configured to recognize several important types of tasks, including:

  • Level of Effort (LOE) tasks
  • Planning Packages
  • Schedule Margin tasks
  • Schedule Visibility (SVT) tasks
  • Start tasks
  • Finish tasks

The user can specify which field(s) in Microsoft Project and what test condition is used to identify each different task type, and can control how these are handled during the schedule analysis.
